Erin Jones

Director of Planned Giving and Major Gifts, University of San Diego

Erin Kathleen Jones has been a professional fundraiser for nearly 35 years. She is currently the Director of Planned Giving and Major Gifts for the University of San Diego. In this position, Erin works closely with alumni, parents, faculty, and friends of the university to create lasting legacies. She has also worked for the University of Notre Dame in the same capacity and spent five years as the Senior Director of Planned Giving at San Diego State University. (SDSU) Before SDSU, Erin served as the Director of Planned Giving at San Diego Hospice.

Erin also worked for Rotary International, the Catholic Diocese of San Diego, Grossmont Hospital Foundation, and the American Cancer Society. She began her fundraising career with a national consulting firm and relocated from Long Island, New York to expand the West Coast presence of the firm when she relocated to San Diego.

Erin earned her bachelor's degree from St. John's University in New York. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive, Certified Senior Advisor, and received a Certified Specialist in Planned Giving credential from the College of Continuing & Professional Education at California State University Long Beach. She resides in San Diego with her husband Todd of 29 years and her two children, Kilane and Trevor.
